This test is applicable for any English-speaking country and tests core
management accounting skills without reference to country-specific
legislative requirements. It assumes a level of skill and competency
normally held by a member of a professional accounting body including,
but not limited to:
CIMA/CGMA
ICAEW (United Kingdom)
CPA (United States)
CAANZ (Australia and New Zealand)
ISCA (Singapore)
The test assesses the following activities:
Budgeting and Forecasting—budgeting and cash flow preparation and
reporting including variances
Organisation Financial Health—analysis of management reports
including ratios
Decision Support—using analysis and accounting knowledge to assist
an organisation to make operating decisions
Capital Budgeting and Capital Projects—analysis to support decisions
on capital projects
Recruiting managers will gain insight into the candidate’s skills,
knowledge and competency in each activity. Overall score and performance
are compared with other management accountants.
